5.0 Help With Products

The Choose Products page allows you to specify the items you want to include in your web site catalog.

You can choose any or all products from our built-in catalog.

How To Select Products

We provide two lists on the page, one with manufacturers and one with product categories. Place a checkmark beside desired products, and click the Save button. We'll build your catalog based on what you have selected.

If you select from both the category and manufacturer list, we'll use the Selection Criteria option to select the products. If 'match either list' is selected, then all products that match any of the checked manufacturers or categories will be included in your published site. The 'match both lists' option is more restrictive, and it is possible to make selections that result in an empty catalog.

You can change your product selections anytime. However, you must republish your site to rebuild your web site catalog.

Selecting Specific Items

After you make your initial category and manufacturer selections, you can include or exclude specific products.

You'll find a link to your built-in catalog list after you update your built-in catalog the first time, and after that any time you visit the Built-in Catalog page.

The list is organized by manufacturer. Just click on the Show and Hide links to view products of interest.

A check mark will appear by each product. If the product is checked, it will show up on your site.

You can include or exclude specific items by setting the checkboxes accordingly. Be sure to click the Update button to save any changes.

Once you include or exclude specific items, you should avoid using the manufacturer and category lists on the Built-in Catalog page to change your catalog. Your catalog will be reselected according to the lists, and you will lose any specific selections you have made.
