Graphics on the web are different than graphics used for print. A few things to keep in mind when creating your logo image:
- Your logo does not need a higher resolution than 96 pixels.
- The image must be in .jpg or .gif file format.
- .gif file formats are usually better for graphics with a lot of solid colors in them, whereas, .jpg file formats are usually better for photographs and complex images.
- Try to make your logo no larger than 150 x 150 pixels.
Upload How-To
- Click the Browse button. Some older Microsoft browsers don't support a Browse button.
- Locate the file on your computer. Your browser will provide an open dialog box, like you use when opening a document in Word or something similar.
Select the file and click OK. Note that Netscape only displays web page files in its Browse dialog. To see image files, you must select 'All files' from the 'Files of Type' drop-down list.
If you're having problems uploading your logo there are several things you can check:
- Is the image you are trying to upload a .jpg or .gif file format? Images on the web need to be in one of these two formats in order to view them. (i.e. .psd's and .tif's will not work)
- Did you specify the correct directory? Double check that you clicked the right name in the directory.
- If you still cannot determine the problem, send us an email. If possible, attach you logo file.
If you don't have a web-ready logo, or any kind of logo, we offer logo graphic and design services. You'll find more information on our Features Page.
